Das Wapuu (Japanisch: わぷー) ist schon seit vielen Jahren das Maskottchen der internationalen WordPress-Community. Es hat sich überall etabliert, dass jedes WordCamp eine eigene Version dieser niedlichen Kreatur kreiert. Für das Stuttgarter WordCamp wollen wir natürlich dieser Tradition folgen und haben nicht nur ein, sondern gleich vier #WCSTG Wapuus erstellt:
For many years the Wapuu character (Japanese: わぷー) has been the mascot for the international WordPress Community. It is well established that every WordCamp create its own version of this cute creature. For the WordCamp Stuttgart we want to uphold this tradition and created not just one, but four #WCSTG Wappus:
Wir sollten ein Wapuu finden, welches nicht den Stuttgarter Fernsehturm umklammert und haben uns andere typische Themen ausgesucht, die für Stuttgart stehen: Leckere Maultaschen, die schwäbische Kehrwoche, deftige Spätzle mit Soße und ein kleines Äffchen und Pferdchen, welche im lokalen Fernsehen berühmt wurden.
We wanted to find a Wapuu, which does not clasp the Stuttgart TV Tower, thats why we chose other typical topics for which is Stuttgart famous for: The delicious „Maultaschen“ (Swabian raviolis), the Swabian „Kehrwoche“ (sweeping week, when the citizens were obliged to clean the house and streets), the hearty spaetzle with sauce (Swabian pasta) and a little monkey and horse, which became famous in the local TV programme.
